Mayor Desiderio’s 2025 Beach Tag Art Contest
Children, up to age 17, are invited to participate in Mayor Desiderio’s 2025 Beach Tag Art Contest, which is now underway. During the contest, four unique designs will be chosen for Sea Isle’s 2025 beach tags (Seasonal, Winter Holiday, Saint Patrick’s Day, and Veterans). Each child who participates must choose one of the four categories, and then can submit only one piece of artwork based on that category.  Submissions can contain no more than four colors.  All artwork must be submitted on an official contest template and accompanied by a contest entry form and a signed waiver, which can be found by clicking here, in the lobby of City Hall, and in the Sea Isle City Welcome Center. Entries can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Tax Collectors Office, City Hall, 2nd Floor, 233 JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243. All entries must be received by Friday, August 30, 2024.  Winners will be announced during the September 24 City Council meeting. For more info, phone 609-263-4461, ext. 1214.

The Welcome Center Beach Tag Office is open 7-days a week (7 Days a Week: 9am-4pm)

Beach Tags Dates to Remember
April 1 = The Welcome Center’s Beach Tag Office will be open 7 days a week.
April 1 = 2024 Veterans Beach Tags will be available at the Welcome Center.
April 1 = Those who purchased 2024 Seasonal Beach Tags using the city’s “Post Card” mail-in system can pick-up their purchases at the Welcome Center starting April 1.
May 15 = The pre-season beach tag rate expires, and the cost of beach tags increases from $25 to $30.
May 25 to Labor Day = Beach tags are required on Sea Isle City’s beaches for all beachgoers age 12 and older, 7-days a week, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Seasonal tags can be purchased at the following locations:

  • NEW: Online at www.jerseycapetags.com (shipped to your home). 
  • NEW: Digital Tag from My Beach Mobile (Information Below)
  • The Tax Office at City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • The Beach Tag Vending Machine in the Lobby of City Hall, available 24/7. 
    The Welcome Center (300 JFK Blvd) 7 Days a Week: 9am-4pm.

Fees and Charges

Beach Tags are required for ALL BEACHES from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day, 10am to 5pm. Tags are required for everyone 12 years and older and can be purchased on the beach.

Daily - $10         Weekly (Sat.-Sat.) - $15             Season - $25 if purchased by May 15, $30 if purchased after May 15

-Pay by cash or check in person
-Beach fees are non-refundable.
-Wednesdays are FREE BEACH DAYS, except on July 4.

 

Digital Beach Tags
Digital Beach Tags are available via the “My Beach Mobile” app using a debit or credit card (a fee will apply). Weekly or daily tags are completely digital (using your smart phone), however seasonal tags require the buyer to pick-up physical tag(s) at the Welcome Center.Digital beach badges are non-transferrable.  One user can store multiple digital badges on a device but cannot share them to other devices.  All purchases are final.  Digital badges cannot be traded for physical badges. Beach Tag Vending Machine
You can purchase Seasonal beach tags any hour of the day or night. Sea Isle’s new vending machine, located in the lobby of City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard, and is assessible 24/7. The vending machine accepts cash only (ones, fives, tens and twenties) - please use exact change.

 

Beach Tags for Active Military and Veterans
In Honor of their Service

Branches of service include: United States Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, Coast Guard and the New Jersey National Guard.

Active Military
- Complimentary "weekly" beach tags will be issued for qualified active duty military personnel and their family members.
- DD1173 (Identification and Privilege Card) must be presented.
- Military personnel, spouse/civil union partner and dependent children age 12 years and older.
- Qualifying active military personnel must be present at the time of request.

Veterans
- One complimentary veteran beach tag will be issued per qualified veteran (valid for the entire summer season).
- DD214 (Discharge Papers and Identification) must be presented.
- Any veteran who has served and was released through honorable discharge with at least 90 days active duty or released from active duty by reason of a service incurred injury or disability.
- Qualifying veteran must be present at the time of request.
- Veteran tags are only available at the Beach Tag office starting April 1st.

Active military and veteran beach tags are not transferable.
