Beach Fill Update
On April 21, sand pumping operations concluded in Sea Isle City. Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company is currently demobilizing their equipment; they will drag the beach to remove any ruts and uneven surfaces as part of the demobilization. Corrective work is still needed at several beach entrances (that work may take place into the early summer, though beach access should not be impeded as the work proceeds). Sea Isle’s Public Works Department will perform maintenance work on beach entrances and will coordinate with the contractors to ensure beach accesses are in good condition.
Some beach entrances will be closed during the demobilization. Currently, the beach entrances from 52nd to 55th Street are closed. The project equipment and materials will be removed from the beach via the 57th Street beach access, so please use caution in that area.
ALL BEACHES WILL BE OPEN THIS SUMMER.
Sea Isle City's Master Plan Re-Examination Survey
Has Been Thoroughly Reviewed
In 2015, Sea Isle City created a survey as part of the Master Plan Re-Examinatino Process. The results from that survey are now available in a 21-page document. The Master Plan Re-Examination is still underway, and the results from the survey are a useful tool for that process.
