During the March 26 City Council meeting, Ordinance 1713 was Introduced with First Reading. Ordinance 1713 is a routine annual ordinance that is written in conjunction with Sea Isle City’s Municipal Budget to allow the city to "bank" (or preserve) for future years any appropriation limits not utilized. This allows the city to more effectively manage our budgets over several years. This ordinance will have Second Reading and Public Hearing (and possible adoption) on April 23.
Also on March 26, City Council Introduced Sea Isle City’s 2024 Local Municipal Budget via Resolution 052, which will have Second Reading and Public Hearing (and possible adoption) on April 23.
Each of the resolutions on the March 26 Consent Agenda was approved, including…
• Resolution 054, which approved a Raffle Application for the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City’s Sailing Foundation.
• Resolution 055, which authorized a Shared Services Agreement with the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority for the review and submission of Sea Isle City’s annual Recycling Tonnage Report.
• Resolution 056, which authorized the award of a contract in the amount of $66,010 to Think Pavers, of Mount Royal, NJ, for storm sewer repair and replacement (within easement) at 324 - 45th Place.
• Resolution 057, which authorized Sea Isle City’s participation in the Somerset County Cooperative Pricing System, for the purchase of goods and services.
• Resolution 058, which authorized a contract in the amount of $122,000 with Go Events, of West Berlin, NJ, for the Sea Isle City Division of Tourism’s 2024 Concerts at Excursion Park.
